Founded in 1990, Autec can already look back on three decades of success in special machine construction and industrial automation. Autec’s clients also benefit from this, because we combine our experience and technical expertise with continuous further development – for example in the use of future-oriented processes and systems.

Steady growth has characterised the company from the very beginning. Additional dynamics have been created over the years through the founding of new companies and strategic acquisitions of production sites and suppliers in Germany and Romania. This expansion has given the Autec Group even greater flexibility and strengthened its service offering in Eastern Europe.

Today, Autec is a group of companies with efficient subsidiaries at several European locations – and with areas of activity that complement each other perfectly. For services in the USA and Mexico, Autec can rely on certified partner companies.

Currently, the medium-sized Autec group of companies with its headquarters in Amberg/Upper Palatinate (Northern Bavaria) employs around 140 qualified employees, whose competence and commitment our customers have come to appreciate just as much as the short decision-making processes at Autec.

A Company with continuity

The success story of a company would be inconceivable without the people who stand behind it with all their commitment. The company founders Norbert Jehl (technology) and Karlheinz Böhm (sales) had a decisive influence on Autec – and created the conditions for the continued growth of the Autec Group to this day.

Meanwhile, the continuity of the family-run company remains intact: In 2016, Christian Böhm, after several years as Sales Manager of Autec Sondermaschinen GmbH, took over from his father as Autec Managing Director.
